THE EXPERIENCE

I’ve read many times that if you want to bring something about in your life, or manifest something, you should write your intention down a thousand times, and think about it over and over again. You do this to try and keep it top of mind, and in turn eventually embed it into your subconscious thinking, aka ‘Manifesting’. And… science suggests the more of your senses you can involve, the better odds of embedding your thought or intention into your mind. Since I’m a gal who’s all about efficiency and will not be writing something out 1000 times, I’ve incorporated ALL 5 senses in the MAKE IT MINE intention setting workshop. Learn more below.

SIGHT & SOUND:

Right out of the gate, we’ll start with an upbeat talk on our thinking, positive versus negative and how our thoughts can either help or hold us back. Our thinking is powerful tool in our lives, and the best part is that WE CAN guide it!

Many attendees have said ‘The Mindset Talk’ is tied with the bracelet making portion, as their favourite part of the workshop!

TOUCH & SIGHT:

When looking for an alternative to writing an intention out 1000 times to make it stick in my brain… I came up with the idea of instead hammering into metal. This hands-on part is the best: you’ll hammer your intention into a bracelet, which will embed it into metal and your mind. It’s empowering, creative, and surprisingly satisfying.

Then by wearing it and reading it each day, you will be able to quickly give your mind a positive thought to focus on.

SMELL & TOUCH:

I loved this challenge and because I am who I am, with my insanely strong sense of smell, and my love of soap
(and soap making skills), I created an Affirmation Soap with the saying ‘I AM…’  embedded in.

Keep it beside your sink, then when washing your hands and enjoying one of the two signature scents, you can finish the sentence with your intention and goal you’re working towards.

TASTE:

What the heck can I do that would involve taste? Something that could happen while making the bracelet, at the event, and twould be different enough from what people already know or associate with something else?

Tea. Yes, I tried dozens and dozens of teas from shops and stores all over!

Finally, I found the teas that I felt were unique enough to be different, yet enjoyable (nothing too exotic), pretty (yep, really pretty!), while being affordable and easy for anybody to get their hands on even after the event.

SOUND:

MUSIC, of course. I created a custom song list that will play at the workshop (also on Spotify). Songs that really resonate with me and that I play on repeat, often and hopefully you’ll find the same, and enjoy too.

I often assign a ‘Theme Song’ to my own personal intention or goal, that I play over and over again on a loop… cue the song Make It Mine by Jason Mraz.

The songs I’ve selected are not only upbeat, but also have a great lyrics to go along with them.
